Hi, I'm Lisa

I focus on the power of Career Storytelling because everyone has a story to share.

After two decades working for global brands in consumer experience design and retail marketing, including The Gap, Selfridges, Burberry, and Nike — I decided to go it alone.

I launched my first company designing consumer experiences just before the global pandemic. When the world shut down, my services were no longer in demand, so I spent two years upskilling in digital marketing, copywriting, interior design, and architectural drawing.

By 2022, I found myself with a portfolio career that didn’t make sense on paper.

If I couldn’t articulate my own story, I realised others would face the same challenge too.

I decided to pivot my career — from designing experiences to designing careers.

In 2023, I joined an accelerator programme to bring my business idea to life.

I launched Your Career Space and began guiding teams and individuals using my Career Mapping Model, Career Canvas, and other tools I’ve designed.

I launched my event concept in July 2024, Career Story Nights, a live storytelling experience.

Today, I take a creative approach to communicating professional identities, helping people show up in ways that feel true to who they are.

I believe everyone has a story worth sharing.

One of my clients recently said, 'Lisa brings a mix of strategy, creativity and heart'.

Thank you, that is my goal.

Beyond The Bio

Ten Things That Shaped Me and how I work.

I was born on International Women’s Day in North Wales.

It shaped my belief in stories that often go untold, and why visibility matters, especially when it hasn’t always been offered.

My mum taught me to contributing meaningfully.

Through her charitable work in Oxford, the organisation she supported named a building after her when she passed. Her legacy continues to guide me.

Growing up, I wanted to create, draw, and write books.

I’ve always been drawn to colour, structure, and story. Shaping people’s careers isn’t far off, just another way of arranging meaning.

I studied art and fashion.

That background gave me an eye for tone, shape, and storytelling, skills I still use across my whole business.

I’m a certified yoga and meditation teacher.

I was an avid yoga retreat traveller, which took me all over the world. I completed the longest-ever yoga chain while living in Portland, Oregon. Later, my mum and I travelled to Kerala in South India and lived in an ashram together—4 a.m. starts and silence were a good discipline for three weeks.

I’ve lived in the US twice and the Netherlands twice, and earned my TEFL to travel across Spain after graduation.

While living in Portland, I rescued my dog, Theo. He’s been with me through every move since—and has filled his passport too.

I learned to windsurf in Bonaire, ski in Whistler, and surf in Costa Rica.

These days I practise yoga, Pilates, and dance—staying balanced, literally and metaphorically. Growing up by the beach, the outdoors and nature remain important to me.

I am forever curious about how and why art is made. The art world is one of the only places I get to stop thinking about my own work.

I have a couple of books in draft form.

The most significant is about my travels through 11 US states in 21 days with just hand luggage. It was one of the most liberating things I’ve ever done. I also write poetry and, in the early 2000s, was part of a group show in London.

I spent twenty years climbing the corporate ladder to land here.

Always working for amazing brands, The Gap, Selfridges, Burberry, and Nike, across the world. The jump from employee to self-employed has been a steep learning curve, and I’m grateful to have learnt from the best in the industry in the first stage of my career.
