A Year of Community

A year ago, after a lot of research on co-working spaces, I joined Equals. Although Equals isn't a traditional co-working, it's a community, a clubhouse for women. I wanted a co-working space and got so much more. At the beginning of this year, I reviewed my Eventbrite activity to reflect on 2023. I took a pause to appreciate the incredible lineup of women and women-led businesses. 

Q1: 

• There was How to Make Better Decisions with Concetta Cucchiarelli 

• We Connected to Our Purpose with Semra Çelebi 

• The History of Chanel and Hermès Masterclasses hosted by l'Étoile de St. Honoré - Luxury Vintage were incredible.

• I learned more about Wine and Women Owned Wineries with Emilie Mendes de Leon

Q2:

• We talked about How to Solve a Show-Stopping Problem with Renate Matroos

• I joined several of the engaging Courageous Conversations hosted by Axelle Ahanhanzo

• We shared our Leadership Stories in Tea Talks with Kremena Yordanova

• Highlighting the Importance of Women and Finances with Anastasia Soloveva was golden. 

• A dynamic Paint and Sip Workshop created by Laura Notari

• We had workshops with Google Workspace on SEO. 

Q3: 

• There were Clothing Swap Parties craeted by Gökçe İliklier 

• We Mastered Our Energy with Theresa Baeumel 

• Public Speaking and Storytelling with Margo van de Linde

• We had Pilates Classes led by Lola Straton

• We discussed Women in Art with Nicky Huisman - van Wuyckhuyse 

• We Elevated Our Frequencies with Nathalie Tappin

Q4:

• Balancing Life and Work as an Entrepreneur with Jenifer Cerero

• A beautiful concept of Rest to Harvest by Moulsari Jain

• Instagram Training for Creatives with Maëlis Jamin-Bizet 

• There was Embracing Your Creative Power with Robbyn Layne 

• Finally, there was a Wreath Making Workshop with Christina Mendel 

I joined several Monthly Networking sessions and Monthly Clubhouse Drinks between the workshops. 

As for me, I launched a book club and hosted two LinkedIn workshops with Anna de Silva and Roberta Carlucci. I cheered on the women leading their workshops and shared their messages on social media. 

I'm not an affiliate or an ambassador; I'm a member who values and appreciates the incredible power of the community I fell into a year ago. 

Thank you, Equals, and the whole team for creating the space to make this possible. The exchange is real; what you put in, you get out; it's learning, growing, connecting with so many like-minded women and supporting each other. 

My takeaway from 2023 is that community is everything; we empower each other to do more and be more. There are still glass ceilings to be broken, seats to be filled by women, and women's voices to be heard. By championing women-led initiatives, we all get one step closer to closing the gender gap.
